V: “Officially Pregnant”
This weekend we have added two new babies into our family of friends. Amazingly, our two friends, D and J had their baby girl, Reagan Elizabeth at 4 pm on Friday afternoon and then a few hours later our other dear friends C and L had their baby girl, Kenely Evelyn at 9 pm the very same evening. We are so excited for all the new parents! The little girls are healthy, absolutely perfect, and adorable. We got to spend time with each family and love on the new babies. We also got to purchase sweet girly outfits for the new babies to wear. We brought chicken casseroles over to each of our friends house last evening and got to spend some out of hospital time with the new families. It was wonderful and we got our baby fix.
V called this morning to tell me that “we are officially pregnant”. Apparently, the doctors office called this morning to give her the results from her blood work yesterday. The nurse she spoke to reported that her beta count is 984 and that we are 4weeks 6 days pregnant (which we knew). I think that the beta number is too low and that worries me, but also I am not sure what her beta number should be exactly. I am scared about the number, but hope that everything is fine. V is supposed to go back in a few days for follow up blood work, I think. It was a rather scattered call from V this morning and then my phone accidentally hung up on her..so bits and pieces are missing. I hope to have more information when she gets home from work.
Things are good. I love my V and the baby she is growing inside of her. I am surprised to find how much I am enjoying my role in this pregnancy. I thoroughly enjoy taking care of V and the little one that she is growing. I was concerned that it would be a little bit difficult for me since we had planned for me to be the one that would become pregnant this year. However, currently it feels right to be in this role. I feel very satisfied.
Congrats on the official word 🙂 I check out http://www.betabase.info/ for beta results but don’t focus too much on the numbers try and enjoy what you have because you will kick yourself later for missing it!!
Congrats on the baby. Don’t worry urself about the beta everything will be fine.
Congrats! The number is great- no worries. Enjoy it!
Wow, congratulations on officially becoming one-hit-wonders! You are some very lucky ladies indeed.
